Modec Hires GranEnergia's Accommodation Unit for Ops in Brazil
Modec do Brazil, a Brazilian subsidiary of the Japanese FPSO provider Modec, has hired GranEnergia's offshore accommodation unit Venus.
GranEnergia said via social media that MODEC, which operates multiple FPSOs in Brazil, would use the semi-submersible unit to support its offshore maintenance campaigns.
According to GranEnergia, the offshore maintenance campaigns scheduled for 2021.
The Venus, built in 2014, can accommodate up to 501 people. It is currently located in the Offshore Port of Açu, Brazil. It is planned to mobilize for Modec during the first week of January 2021.
Other contract details remain confidential between the parties, GranEnergia said.
