BASSnet HRM 2.8, a web-based solution, enables users to access the system from any location, and is designed to take crew planning and scheduling to a new level of efficiency.
Users can fully plan and manage charterer trading requirements at all times, ensuring that vital crew-related information, performance evaluation records, competence and training status and development plans, training needs and records are available to the users’ global crew management organization, thus helping to streamline work processes.
For BASS, the inclusion of Malaysia-based Sealink to its global family of clients is the latest testament of its success in addressing the software needs of the shipping and oil and gas support services industries.
The deal paves the way for Sealink to benefit from the full range of BASS net Fleet Management Systems that are designed to provide one complete solution for ship owners and managements.
BASSnet HRM 2.8 will help Sealink cut administration time and costs with information sharing of crew data with all parties across the crew management processes. In addition, this module helps users track monetary dealings related to the crew, including earnings, deductions, allotments and wage summaries, among other things.
BASSnet HRM 2.8 also enables users to manage crew-related matters comprehensively, namely to easily keep records, maintain crew headcounts, synchronize seafarers’ data and track payroll.
Not only can the crew members update their own biodata and upload resumes, auxiliary service providers such as training centres, travel agents and medical doctors can also update relevant records, with the management being automatically alerted of any changes.
In a nutshell, the solution ensures that users have the right resources for the position at the right time. Users can use the crew matrix to search for the right seafarers based on rank and competence levels to meet crewing requirements for specific vessel types.
